"In 1918 he painted his first painting titled La Cheminée shortly after arriving in Paris. Two years later, together with the French cubist painter Amédée Ozenfant, they created the magazine L'Esprit Nouveau, in which they made known the purist movement with the intention of overcoming cubism by removing everything that could be unnecessary and highlighting the golden section that, somehow, it was related to futurism.
