Salvador Dalí, was borned in Figueres in May 11th 1904 and died in the same city January 23rd 1989. He was a prominent Spanish surrealist painter and sculptor. Nonetheless he was expelled from the surrealist group in 1934 due to the ambiguous position he defended regarding the political implications that the movement was engaging in.
