Sara Bonache wins the Antoni Vila Casas Painting Prize 2025 from the Vila Casas Foundation

The Vila Casas Foundation has awarded the Antoni Vila Casas Painting Prize 2025 to artist Sara Bonache (Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona, 1991) for her work Nocturnes, 2025.

The jury highlighted her interspecies and ecological perspective, which revisits a traditional theme and takes it beyond its original meaning. With this recognition, the Foundation also seeks to support an emerging voice and encourage her to continue evolving and pursuing new artistic challenges.

The jury’s decision — composed of Bernat Daviu, Claudia Elies, Mariana Draper, Bernat Puigdollers, and Montserrat Pascual — was announced today, Monday, September 22, at the Can Framis Museum, during the opening of the exhibition featuring the finalists of the Antoni Vila Casas Painting Prize 2025. The show, which brings together the 29 selected works from among all the entries received, will remain open to the public until October 26, 2025.
