Honoured to collaborate with the loan of two drawings by Alfred Sisquella.

The exhibition L’Amic de les Arts presents works by Dalí, Miró, Torres García, and García Lorca.

Hosted by the Sitges Museums, which are part of the Local Museums Network, the exhibition L’Amic de les Arts. Art and Poetry in Sitges 1926–1929 will be on display until March 16, 2025. It focuses on the legendary magazine L’Amic de les Arts, which became a national reference for the arts and intellectual thought of its time. Edited in Sitges between 1926 and 1929 by Josep Carbonell i Gener, the magazine is considered one of the most significant cultural publications in Catalonia.

The exhibition features around a hundred pieces, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, manuscripts, correspondence, books and the publication itself, which is the central subject of the display. Highlights include works by Salvador Dalí, Josep Maria de Togores, Joaquim Torres García, Pau Gargallo, Federico García Lorca and many others. The exhibition is curated by Aitor Quiney, PhD in History of Art, and is located in the Sala Vaixells of the Palau de Maricel, recently restored by the Sitges Museums as a dedicated exhibition space.
