Jaume Sans. From Surrealism to Abstraction
Download catalogAlways considered an outstanding figure in the Catalan surrealist movement, Jaume Sans (1914-1987) had an artistic career that went far beyond this style. The exhibition we present, with more than 70 works, including paintings, drawings and sculptures, proposes a broad and complete journey through the different stylistic registers that Sans cultivated over three discontinuous decades of artistic production in which he moved from the surrealist style of the 1930s to Informalism in the 1960s, passing through an abstraction, halfway between geometry and Biomorphism, in the 1950s.
