It is not in the mirror where we have to consider ourselves.
(…) contemplate yourselves on paper (Henri Michaux, 1946)

The series of exhibitions “Drawing a collection”, of which we now present the third edition, was born as a continuation of the exhibitions titled “Those little things…” with the aim of encouraging collecting.
While the series “Those little things…” is made up of exhibitions that aim to show works that help take the first step, selecting drawings, paintings, and sculptures of small size and mostly modest prices; the pieces exhibited in the series “Drawing a Collection” correspond to a selection of works on paper that, due to their quality, period, and authorship, could form part of a more consolidated collection. These drawings, collages and watercolors have in common that they embody in themselves the most significant of each artist and by exhibiting them together in this exhibition we wanted to make our own ‘drawing’ of a collection that we consider brings together very significant elements of 20th century art.
