Biography
Matanzas (Cuba), 1927 – La Habana (Cuba), 2001
He was a sculptor linked to the surrealist movement. He settled in Paris in 1955 and his references in the world of sculpture were Brancusi, Henry Moore and Jean Arp. His sculptures, whether made of wood, stone or bronze, are characterized by the use of abstract organic forms.
